My career in property sales started 27 years ago, after changing direction from selling hotel rooms to selling houses through a local estate agent; I had always loved everything about properties and the way people lived in them. Eventually I joined Barratts housebuilders and started work in New Build sales.  After that, I achieved a lifetime dream and joined Redrow’s sales team. I passed that passion on to my daughter Molly, and recently she became a Redrow sales apprentice for South Wales!

“Our first day together was one I will always treasure.  Seeing her wearing the Redrow uniform with pride took me back to my younger days - and I still feel very proud to work for Redrow.  I recently joined our Customer Service Department as a Manager, which I really enjoy – plus it gives me the chance to keep a watchful eye over Molly!”

Emma Gunney, Customer Service Manager

I joined Redrow in 2012 as a Customer Services Manager, since then I've progressed fast and I now head up out entire customer service operation for the South West Division. There’s no such thing as a typical day in this department. One moment, you can be dealing with a customer query; the next, visiting a site to examine an issue. The rest of the day could see you coordinating the work of subcontractors or emailing customers to update them about the progress of cases. It’s this variety that keeps things fresh and interesting. You’re always on the go.

“Make no mistake about it – this is not an easy role. Every day is full of challenges and it’s down to us to solve problems as quickly as possible. But on the other hand, the satisfaction you get from making a customer happy again is hard to beat. I’ll never forget the time I resolved a window issue for one of our customers; the relief on their face was palpable – I could see I had restored their faith in Redrow. And that, in a nutshell, is what this role is all about.”
